I just got a brand new g16 (5070, intel core ultra 285, 16gb ddr5). I traded in the exact same laptop with best buy bcz the old one had an hdmi port issue. On the old one i was getting much higher fps in games (ex: val went from 250+ on the old one to now stuttering at 120-180).
Ive done the same settings: windows maximize performance on battery, ultimate mode on ghelper, closing bsckground apps, updated drivers, updated windows. Both were brand new laptops, not open box if that changes anything

Is there anything to explain the crazy change in fps??
Is there anything i could do??

Im an incoming freshman for MechE and I have some questions about the ALEKS placement. I have already taken 2/4 tests on it and 100% the learning pie. I then realized that it does not go past Calc 1. I have already taken AB and BC (awaiting BC score but im pretty sure I passed), do I still need to finish the rest of the 12-14 ish hour ALEKS or at orientation can I just show my AP score? Ty.
