A few issues with the trading system.
I hope I'm not alone on this, as some of these have been driving me crazy.
- Have you noticed that how much the items you're trying to sell are worth to the merchant varies not only between merchants, but actively changes while trading? So when you're trying to sell, say 10 arrows, at first it says you will get 3 nuggets for each one, and then suddenly it changes to two nuggets within the same trade?
- Merchants don't have nearly enough nuggets to buy your crap. I understand that this is probably supposed to make it less easy to obtain thousands of ore nuggets, but the devs haven't changed how much ore is required for certain quests or tasks. Lares still wants 400 ore nuggets, Dusty still needs 100 nuggets to get past the guards.
- While it's fine that different merchants offer different prices for different goods (it's kind of realistic after all), in many cases there's little rhyme or reason behind their prices. I don't understand why Dexter pays almost twice as much for swampweed blunts as Fisk, especially considering that you can usually find them literally ten meters apart.
I hope some of these issues get fixed, or at least implemented better. I really dislike the ore economy so far, and it's pretty much the only major issue I have with the game, if you ignore the typical, horrendous UE5 optimisation.
