A stray is clearly pregnant. Will I be helping or hurting if I take her in temporarily?
I want to take her in to help her in birthing giving her shelter, food, water and vet care but can't take the cats in forever (I'm allergic; landlord is opposed; leaving the country soon). I live in a culture where people rarely take in stray animals so I doubt I could place them in other homes.
I'm afraid offering temporary help will delay the skill development the kittens need to survive (getting food, water, shelter). It may also be a rough transition whenever I need to leave. Should I intervene or let nature work this out? What are your thoughts?
