Multi Clicking Issue

I have had a g604 for 6 years, and it started having double click issues about 3 months ago. Finally decided to retire it and get another one only to find out they were discontinued. I was told this is a subreddit of g604 lovers like myself, and wanted to see if there was a fix for the double clicking.

I have never opened up a mouse before, so I am a bit nervous I will make the issue even worse. How hard is it to fix double clicking if it is fixable at all?

Finally retiring my G604

After 6 long years of use I am putting her to rest. Multi clicking finally started happening, but I still didn’t want to let it go.

I was sad to see they don’t make this mouse anymore. Replacing it with a G502 X Lightspeed since it seems the closest I can get to the 604.
