My friend and I are in a really difficult situation and we're hoping someone here might have some advice or know someone who could help.

A few months ago, during an Erasmus trip, we met a Croatian student. We stayed in touch, and recently we talked about visiting her in Croatia. She agreed to host us for free, and in return we planned to host her when she comes to France. It was meant to be a simple cultural exchange between friends.

Because we had a place to stay, we booked our flights. We are supposed to arrive on July 10th.

Unfortunately, things suddenly changed. She has stopped helping us and has essentially cancelled on us at the last minute. Our flights are non-refundable, and we simply don't have enough money to afford hotels or other accommodation.

We're now facing the possibility of arriving in Croatia with nowhere to sleep.

We're not asking for money. We're mainly looking for advice, recommendations, or if anyone knows someone who might be able to help us find a very cheap place to stay, a hostel, a couch, or any other solution.
