My Snake is rubbing his nose raw while he's shedding.

I have lucistic ball python. Hes 2 years old and a recently ate a mouse. He started turning pink which is our sign that he's about to shed. I went to check on how his shed is doing and noticed he's scrapped up his nose really good. I have a lava rock in his terrarium that he uses to rub his shed off but I took it out after I saw his face. He has a heating pad under half his terrarium that keeps his warm side at 90°F and his cold side sits a room temp which is usually 70° we normally have his humidity around 70%-80% but with his shed we boosted it up to 90%-95%. We use coconut Reptichip for his substrate. I know I shouldn't be handling him while he's shedding but I got nervous and needed to take a photo. As you can tell he already shed past his head so he's been scratching at his new scales.
