So what's your deal (as in like what are you writing about)?

I'd like to see Redquill be more of a community, but it's hard to find stories that match my interests, but also I'm just interested in what you're doing with the thing.

My deal is gay (mostly), effeminate dudes (but not like sissy stuff, or usual crossdressing stuff, more glam rock, not that there's anything wrong with the other thing, it's just not my thing). Decadent literature, pretty specific times and places (1970s London, interwar London, belle epoque France, Vietnam during the war), rock n' roll, petty criminals, rough dangerous sex, 1970s-80s gay culture, Jean Genet, revenge, second chance "romance", transformation but not like magical transformation more like makeovers, emotional sadism, weird toxic dynamics, guerrilla soldiers, hair fetishism, stiletto heels, competition about who gets to top, machismo, rebels and revolutionaries. What about you?

So why do you use redquill?

I use it because it's a weird toy I enjoy messing around with and also because I have very weird sexual tastes and the amount of erotic content that actually caters to them is very small, and I also tend to want things in a very specific style and I have a couple of weird fantasies I've never been able to write out by myself or indulge with a partner. What about you?

Has anyone managed to get it to stop doing the "You're Xing" "No, I'm Ying, there's a difference" tic?

It's CONSTANTLY doing that to me and it drives me up the wall. I also feel like it is a constant struggle to get it to do dialogue that doesn't read like a Joss Whedon script or corporate press release jargon, which when I'm trying to get it to write about working class punks in 1970s London is jarring
