Thoughts on using Face Cam?
So as the title implies, I've been considering using a face cam for my videos (and streams whenever I do those again). I am a gaming channel, which I guess focuses mostly on my personality (I'm not super good at the games or anything, and the commentary is during the gameplay). I'd put my style of content between Smii7y and Jack Septiceye types (depending on the game it is). From what I've seen, most of the successful channels of a similar sort have face cams (besides a few), and there is a lot of consensus on it being beneficial. I already have a face cam that I use on Discord sometimes with buddies, so the barrier to entry is 0, and I don't necessarily have an issue with my face on the internet (other than now I have to consciously think of what I'm physically doing during recording sessions). I guess my biggest issue is that it seems like once I start using a face cam, especially if I grow with one, its not something I can stop doing later. I don't know if that concern is legitimate, but it is one I have. I guess I was just hoping to see what others thought on the subject, and if someone has done this change how they felt about it.
