Wall (and/or furniture) color to tie things together?

We bought a new home recently and I intend to use this space as my office and gaming room. I work from home, so I’ll be spending a sizable percentage of day-to-day time in this room… I’m just not sure what to do with it visually.

Prior owners kept the OG honey oak-esque doors as is, and added the gray LVP floors & white floor trim. The ceiling has that early 2000s off-white scalloped plaster pattern, and indirect outdoor light tends to nudge the overall color tone on the warmer side as you can tell. The sun sets on the opposite side of the house, so any direct sunlight will be minimal. The room is on the smaller side, somewhere between 100-120 sqft.

I’m not a huge fan of the heavy dark green out of the gate, my old office was a darker gray and it felt like a dungeon after a handful of years so I’d like to get away from that. I do like the idea of something in the green family, like maybe soft sage green, and a few have suggested going with the new “greenish gray” millennial favorite. I was hoping to keep things earthy with some walnut tones mixed in, but I’m very lost on what color walls and/or furniture would even work well with the whole “oak/gray/white” scheme I’m facing here.

Anything I should gravitate toward, away from, etc? I appreciate any guidance!

(Cat tax included. Ignore the ceiling corner, contractor is in the process of patching some minor damage from several years ago..)
