I mean, bowser falls into lava, dies, and comes back as dry bowser, so then…… what happened in the dead kingdom Luigi falls into in the first kingdom he visits? I mean, thousands of dry koopas are there, so what happened? Did a war happen? What was the kingdom before it died?
