Life sciences to med school 3rd year?

Hi all this is my first time here

My LinkedIn feed keeps showing third years just from McMaster and Queen’s health sciences programs getting in third year. Is it tangible for third years in a life sciences program (such as mcmaster or queen’s) to get in or is it really rare?

Have you done it yourself or do you know anybody that has? Thanks

Queen’s Admission System is Wildly Unfair

*For starters, I have already gotten into the program I applied to. However, the huge lack of any new acceptances is astonishing.

There is something majorly wrong with sending out 90% of the offers by April 15th. The truth of the matter is that the huge majority of those accepted were based on half grade 12 marks AND HALF GRADE 11 MARKS. Unless you fit all your grade 12 prereqs into grade 11 and 12, your grade 11 marks will be used in place of the grade 12 equivalent. I’m fine with grade 11 marks being used for early acceptance… but literally basing the majority of acceptances on grade 11 marks is ridiculous, especially since it’s grade 12 where you’re supposed to try. Your grade 12 semester 2 marks basically go to shit.

It’s funny how a mark (provided you haven’t taken the grass 12 equivalent) you got in semester 1 of grade 11 can basically be the determining factor of your admission to Queen’s.

So at this point this message isn’t even for grade 11’s lmao it’s for grade 10’s incoming to grade 11.

Computer Science Co-op or Software Engineering Co-op?

Hello all,

I have recently been accepted to both programs, and I am not sure which to go for. I’m not too worried as I know both have very similar outcomes.

Can anyone share things I should know to help me decide between the programs.

Also, with AI raising the bar, which program do you think would provide the best skillset to be still competitive? Thanks a lot.

This was the first time I think my entire theatre (and myself) have clapped at the end of a movie. Like both intentionally but also it felt naturally necessary to.

It didn’t even feel like I was “watching a movie,” it felt like I was actually there, with MJ performing in front of me. I don’t think I realized, but I was genuinely subconsciously smiling throughout various parts of the film (like Thriller and the end scene) because it actually felt like he was there. It was genuinely so captivating lol. I don’t think I’ve ever wanted to rewatch a movie so bad

Anyone else felt the same way?
