Deck of Many Things experience cards

So long story short, I gave my players a deck of many things and as you know, there are several cards that give out experience like Jester. You gain 10,000 XP, or you can draw two additional cards beyond your declared draws or Sun. You gain 50,000 XP, and a wondrous item (which the DM determines randomly) appears in your hands.

Now the problem is... it's a milestone game. I could just not give the XP but I'd like to give my players... something. So does anyone have any ideas for substitute effects?

So long story short, I joined an in person game at level 8 and decided to make a Fighter using a homebrew/3rd party subclass known as Titan Slayer from Drizzt's Travelogue of Everything vol 2. The basic idea of the subclass is that you make weapons bigger and heavier and then once you reach level 7, you unlock a feature where instead of taking multiple attacks a turn via extra attack, you instead do one massive hit and deal either double, triple or quadruple damage depending on your level. (7th = double 11th = triple, 20th = quadruple). This also affects stuff like crits and GWM it literally just doubles/triples/quadruples all damage done.

Now we're leveling up soon and I'm considering going into Paladin to throw some smites into the mix. I already have the required stats for it. I'm just wondering if it's worth the dip and if so where I should take it, as I'm fairly sure the campaign is intended to go to 20th level.

My initial thoughts were to wait until after 12th level to get the triple damage and my next feat from my current subclass. Then pump the remaining 8 levels into Paladin which would get me two more feats and my aura but I'm open to any different opinions and ideas.

In case this matters at all, the party is 2 bards, a druid, a divination wizard and a Lockadin.
