Got my discord account hacked by a bot that sent to my friends pictures for scamming with mrbeast bitcoin and discord locked my account for suspicious activity
Hello,as the title says that happened,no password,email or credit card from my account was changed/charged,however when discord locked my account it logged me out of everything and sent me a email to reset my password.When i went to change the password on my email it asked me for 2fa or backup codes.It's been more then 2 years since i last used the 2fa app because i never needed it.I would always log in via email or a code then sent me on my phone number and when i changed my phone i never downloaded the authenticator app. So without that and access to my backup codes i literally can't do anything about it. My biggest issue is that when i got logged out of everything and my account got ,,locked'' it didn't remove my credit card from the app and yesterday i was charged with my monthly discord nitro..
Discord support is the worst experience i have ever had both online and real life when it comes to trying to get responses and solving the issue,i have made screen shots of my ticket and what is insanely frustrating is that they have made the ticket solved with a bot response....
Not only do i have to probably call my bank to disable my subscription but,i'm in shock as such a simple matter could have been easily solved if they were to ask me to provide proof of me being the owner,check the pictures for more details.
I would like to know if there is anything that can be done at this point ? What should i do,what can i try ?
