This is my first time owning a 360 camera. I previously had an Avata 2, which I managed to pick up at a great price and later sold for a profit.

Today, with the weather being great, I decided to go out and try filming with the 360 camera and experiment with editing the footage. I recorded everything in 360 directly to the drone’s internal storage. Later, I connected it to my PC (without the battery) to review and edit the footage.

However, after cropping in even slightly, the image quality looked surprisingly poor.

Am I doing something wrong? Did I miss an important step, or is this just how 360 footage behaves?

Got my Avata 360 from Amazon.de yesterday. As expected from DJI, the build quality and materials are excellent.

After the first startup, I had to install the latest updates. However, I noticed on the RC2 that there was no GPS/satellite connection. After looking around a bit, I found a fix that worked for me:

  1. Power on the drone and make sure all software updates are installed.
  2. Place the drone in an open area so it can acquire satellites (this can take up to 15 minutes, but is often quicker).
  3. If it still doesn’t connect, take off to about 10 meters and let it hover for around 15 minutes – this should establish a stable satellite connection.

Hope this helps anyone running into the same issue 👍
