Thank you - moving to Sheffield with a dog

I just wanted to thank everyone who helped me find a good place for me and my greyhound in Sheffield. I have signed a tenancy on a place that meets my needs and an area I think I can really settle into.

Thanks for all the kindness shown on here but also random strangers around and about who have helped me in various ways.

I am exhausted and still struggling to cope with all the aftermath of leaving an abusive relationship but the kindness of strangers (and also a lot from friends) had helped a lot. I even have a couple of potential new friends (invites for coffee once I am settled).

Soon I hope to be your neighbour and do you favours and palm off my seedlings on you. Thanks for having my back now.

Moving to Sheffield with dog

Hello, I'm looking for a place to live in Sheffield with my greyhound. I have been looking around just in my budget and seem particularly drawn to areas in S7 or S8 it seems.

I have mobility issues so steep grade hills are probably a miss and I would want some green space nearby to walk dog. Also I'm quite into arts and crafts.

Any sorts of recommendations? I'm searching in quite a hurry because I recently escaped an abusive relationship and chose Sheffield because I have more friends here than any other city (but those friends apparently only know their own neighbourhoods)

From what I've heard it seems there's a banana from like Hillsborough to the south of the city that seem to get recommended.

I'd be living alone so bonus points if there's a community I can get involved with quickly.

Edit: thanks for being so friendly and welcoming. It's been a really tough and unsettled time. It does feel nice to look forwards and I think I have picked a good place to rebuild. One day I will be pushing my extra seedlings on you as a neighbour.
