Got engaged recently and went with a 2ct emerald cut, best decision ever. It looks bigger than I expected, and the shape just feels timeless. I went with a simple setting and it still stands out in the prettiest way. Only thing is I’m still getting used to how it looks from different angles. Never thought this would be something I'd ever have. We saved for a long time and went back and forth so many times about whether to go smaller and just put the rest toward the fund. But we kept coming back to it and eventually just decided to go for what we actually wanted. The moment I saw it on my hand I completely lost it. My friends have been asking to see it nonstop and I feel a little embarrassed but also like... not really. We worked hard for this and it feels incredible to finally have something that matches what we always dreamed about.
