I’m pretty new to investing and honestly just wanted to share how it’s been going so far. I started a few months ago after seeing everyone talk about the market and feeling like I was missing out. At first, everything I touched went up and I genuinely thought I had some kind of instinct for this. I’d check my portfolio every day, sometimes multiple times, and it felt great seeing green.

Then reality kicked in. A couple of bad trades and a market pullback wiped out most of those gains pretty quickly. That’s when I realized I didn’t really have a plan . I was just buying whatever seemed popular or already going up. I also noticed how emotional I was getting, especially on red days.

Now I’m trying to slow things down. I’ve started reading more, paying attention to fundamentals, and thinking longer term instead of chasing quick wins. Still making mistakes, but at least now I understand why.

Curious how others handled their first year .did you go through the same phase?
