Hey RepFam,

I’m at a crossroads with my VSF DateJust 41 (V1) and could use some input. I’ve had this piece for about 3.5 years, and it’s been a reliable daily driver, but the signs of wear are showing.

Current State of my V1:
Bezel: White gold plated 3.5 years ago. It’s got some scratches and the "shine" isn't what it used to be.
Crystal: Has that slightly milky ring around the date (classic V1 issue) and two micro-scratches (barely visible, but I know they’re there).
Bracelet: CF Oyster, well-worn with the usual desk diving marks.
Movement: Running okay, but I’m considering a €50 regulation or a full €200 service to keep it bulletproof.

The Dilemma:
Should I sink €50-200 into a full service and regulation for a V1 with a scratched bezel and older crystal? Or is it time to let this one go and pull the trigger on a new VSF V2 with the Jubilee band?

I’ve heard the V2 upgrades are solid:

  1. Better crystal (less/no milky gasket look).
  2. Improved "out of the box" plating/finish on the bezel.
  3. That VSF Jubilee is supposed to be top-tier.

What would you do? Is the jump from V1 to V2 significant enough to justify the €500+ investment, or should I just refresh the "Old Reliable" V1?

Check the pics of my current V1 below!
