Hi everyone,

I’m working on building out direct bookings for my short-term rentals to reduce reliance on Airbnb and VRBO fees, I want to ensure our guest screening is thorough and that our payment setup is completely secure.

For those of you taking direct STR bookings:

1. What payment processors do you use to safely accept credit cards and hold security deposits?
2. How are you handling digital rental agreements, ID verification, and damage coverage off-platform?

Would love to hear what software or payment setups are working best for your direct booking site.

I’m thinking archives, neighborhoods, libraries, theaters, bookstores, cultural organizations, or anywhere you can still encounter Yiddish as a living language rather than only as history.

What would you put on that list?

PowerPoint is still my main teaching tool because it's easy to organize lessons and keep everything in one place. The challenge isn't creating the slides, it's making sure students stay engaged instead of just watching them. Some classes are naturally interactive, while others barely respond unless they're called on directly. I'm interested in hearing what has worked for other teachers.
