Been working on these two figures for a few weeks. Uncle Jiang's face and Ruby's clothes took the most time.
used polymer clay for the bodies, wire armature inside so they don't fall over. The outfits are sculpted, not cloth – had to carve every fold by hand. Ruby's bow is a separate piece I glued on after baking.
The hardest part was Uncle Jiang's expression. That slight frown and the bags under his eyes. I probably re-did the face four times.
NEED tiny brush, magnifying glasses, and a lot of holding my breath. not perfect but I'm pretty happy with how they turned out.
