Enhance retainers

Buy the Artisan's Manual every week, you need it to level up your workers and it's capped weekly. Here's how retainer efficiency stacks:

Say Worker A has 107% efficiency (+7%) and Worker B has 105% efficiency (+5%). Combined production time becomes:

45 min ÷ (1 + 7% + 5%) = 45 min ÷ 1.12 = 40 min 11 sec

Golden Grain

If you're optimizing for Prosperity, don't forget to convert your Golden Grain into Prosperity, it's fully reversible, you don't lose the Golden Grain and can reclaim it anytime.

Each Golden Grain Building Component (3.5k Golden Grain) gives 150 Prosperity, the same as 15 Medical Kits. Not huge on its own, but every bit counts in the race to the top.

You'll find these under Personal Building Components. Reclaim your Golden Grain by dismantling the component.

How to completely reset Homestead and restart from scratch

You have to manually find every industry zone you placed and delete it / reclaim all components in it. For the 3 main industries you need to do this. (this will delete everything in the industry zone):

Build > Build Management > Retrieve Industry Components

Or

Choose Homestead zone > More > Delete

Using diagrams is buggy as hell

If you're struggling with diagrams, you're not alone, several distinct bugs are floating around, so hop into the WBM Discord for specific troubleshooting.

If you hit the "Diagram data error, Application failed" error: pick up all your stoves and tables first, place the diagram, then put the stoves and tables back.

Warning: reapplying diagrams can reset your catering setup if you replace your tables.

The Message Board

Upon teleporting to the Cloudrest Passage Waystone, you might notice a large board placed to the side of the path. Interact with it.

Here you can post messages that all your Neighbours can see, assuming they interact with the board too.

The real value is the Assists tab. You can request resources from your neighbours once per day. Exchange resources with the same neighbour three times and you'll learn their name and be able to form a Companion Bond with them.

If you find a good neighbour who's active and friendly, consider inviting them to a Companion Bond. Why? The realm shifts periodically, separating you from your current neighbours, but members of a Companion Bond stay together through the shift. (Note: we can't currently confirm whether realm shifts are actually happening in-game yet.)

- Is there a way of changing which seeds the sowing Mystic Skill (Tai Chi) uses? I know how do select a seed when there's none, but how do you change the selected seed?

- Selling product is painful. If you don't want to sell the entire amount, it's one button to select the full amount (which could be hundreds+) and then repeatedly press triangle a few hundred times. And sometimes the item loses focus so you have to stop, reselect and start hitting triangle again.

- When changing menu/product that a retainer is using, it's a little annoying that you have to de-select the existing one before selecting the new or you get an error message. Why not just let you select the new one with a "are you sure you want to change the recipe/item?" yes/no dialog?

- on several of the screens (the Local Specialities especially) the focused item in the UI isn't obvious. Press up/down/left/right and you just get the error sound. The only way I can select items is to wiggle the stick until I finally can see something selected, and then proceed from there.

- has anyone noticed when bringing up some of the Homestead menu screens, they flicker like crazy at the start? Like the menu is being shown 10 times in a row rather than just once?

- I still don't know how you raise/lower buildings on PS5. I position them in the overhead view, but then once placed, they're hovering above the ground and I can't find a way to lower them.

Hi all, been playing for just over a week now and still finding my way around and hoping to get some answers from those of you who played through weapon releases in previous updates.

I've had a look at some gauntlets gameplay and I think that'll suit me more than my current splitstone strength.

I've got some inner way chests (including custom) and custom tips chests and other resources saved up. Should I save these chests and open them when the new content drops or will these chests not contain the new inner ways & tips? i.e. Will they be useless for trying to get a head start for the gauntlet release?

I don't have my full set of inner ways yet (not finished in kaifeng) and my snowparting blade and phalanxbane blades are only at lvl 55 and 50 respectively. I'm not sure if I should continue leveling them or save up. My solo world is at 13 and I'm trying to get better tier 86 gear at the moment (they're mostly blue).

My guild had 2 really bad ranked matches yesterday where it seemed the healing debuff was applied for the entire match. On review, both enemy guilds were using pairs of Mo x TB hybrids who combo their EX skill together, then switch their weapons to combo the EX skill again in an endless loop. Their nameless then finish the job by lobbing energy waves at us that our healers cannot outheal. Ad nauseam. We got team wiped constantly in those two matches.

Is this the current meta? Is there any known counter?

I am absolutely obsessed with this game, how many menu’s there are and how involved some aspects can get if you lean into that, now on the Official Assistant I noticed that previously next to my sect spot at the top it said “Pure Jade” I have not joined any guilds that I know of, I presumed it was just that (because of it being next to the sect slot) and today upon checking my stats after a fair bit of exploration and oddity collection last night, it now says “Carved with Care” - what is that ?

I tried to google it but nothing particularly helpful comes up, and google AI (as usual gets caught up on one part of the whole search) just results in so many confused descriptions about the different types of Jade currencies in the game. And the “Carved with Care” didn’t help that search much, if it is in a menu that I have just overlooked I wouldn’t be surprised, I spend enough time sometimes trying to ‘find that one menu I came across that one time and how did I get there again’ that I sometimes wish I had the sticktoitiveness to have learned mandarin all the times it has occurred to me how useful it would be because I could likely just get an immediate answer if I were searching in the games original language, but alas, ADHD and a general lack of concern about my well being have resulted in my not knowing how to search for things in a *gets the answer everytime* way
