Hey All,

I am a Canadian Citizen.

I have been unemployed since 10 months now. I had to leave Canada to take care of my sick father overseas and I have been trying to find work and come back to Toronto. I have sent resumes to recruitment agencies like robert half, randstad, jobgether portals. I have lost count on my job applications I’ve made on Indeed and LinkedIn. I used to work for a reputed public college (in toronto) in the admin / ops position since 2015 up until June 2025, before I quit. I have asked my friends for a referral, tried networking on LinkedIn. I am losing hope at this point. I genuinely need someone to look at my resume and tell me if I am doing something wrong, if it is the market or if I am running out of luck?

Toronto is home for me and if it were not for my circumstances, I would have stuck to the job.

Hey Y'All, I don't have technical aptitude and after 10 yrs in Operations and Admin and being unemployed for a year, I feel I should have a skillset that can land me a job in whichever country I go to. Any paid / free courses that you think I should get started with and would be worth the investment?
