Ethernet problem Mboard
Hello I have an ASUS TUF GAMING Z690-PLUS WIFI D4 motherboard and the Ethernet port suddenly stopped working one day.
The LAN cable works fine on another PC, but on this motherboard it does not detect the cable at all. The LEDs the Ethernet port do not light up when I plug the cable in . Wi-Fi still works normally.
What I already tried:
- Updated the BIOS to the latest version
- Checked BIOS settings — LAN controller is enabled
- Tried troubleshooting in Windows
- Reinstalled/checked drivers
The problem is that Windows basically acts like the Ethernet adapter does not exist. I cannot even open Ethernet properties because there is no Ethernet connection/device showing up.
Has anyone experienced this with this motherboard or know any possible fix? Could the LAN controller be dead?
