I think the admins here are doing a great job in general, but I would like to discuss one topic I am not particularly happy with: **removal of threads with heated discussions**.
I would much prefer it if the threads were locked (with the most offending comments optionally removed), because sometimes the discussion was actually interesting up to that point, and it's more similar to general reddit experience. (Obviously some threads warrant immediate removal, only talking about threats with an interesting starting point).
It's only a preference of mine. I am more than happy to concede this wish if the majority is of another opinion or the admins have had negative experiences with keeping such threads around.
Edit: I want to stress that i am very happy with the mod team in general, this is not meant as criticism. This is one of the nicest subs i frequent. But it can't hurt to voice a preference, the "worst" that can happen is that i learn why it's not like that already.
