Wife’s parents are getting on in age and we are visiting for a few days. Looks like it’s been a pretty dry summer but being Vancouver, the rains are coming. Bare spots and moss are common. Needs a mowing I’m sure there’s no miracle cure but what can be done to improve this lawn and set it on a path of long term improvement while I’m in town?

Edit: Looks like there’s actually a ban on lawn watering currently as well.
