How do I describe this exchange? (Fight scene)

I am writing a fight scene and I want to make a reference/tribute to IP man (2008). It obviously won't be 1 for 1, as I plan to add more. I just think this moment during a fight where IP man disables his opponent's arms is so smooth. Any advice?
