I'm designing this girl for a game I'm making! I'm very happy with the top half of her design (basically just the head), but the rest is iffy.

Also, my boyfriend assumed she was a country girl, and my goal is for her to look like a beach girl who works at a seafood restaurant. Tips appreciated!

I'm supposed to have scales like snakescales that're only visible in some lightings or at certain angles, but asking artists to draw that always feels really bad to me because it's like "That's asking too much" but uhhhhh

The character is one i made on a whim, it's pretty recognizable with a striking silhouette but i have no idea what it actually is lol. Neither have i put much thought in his design since it's something i just doodled one time.

I wonder what people would guess from just his looks

Hello friends! First post in this sub, a new ref sheet for my mascot OC, Cara Melanie. She got a redesign this year and I am chuffed with how it came out <3

I have been exploring art for awhile now and this seems to be my favorite kind of character design. I am mostly looking to see if they’re appealing to anyone else other than myself, or if anyone has any media that has unconventional designs like this so I may enjoy them.

If anyone has any questions about these characters, feel free to ask. I’ve got all the lore on them.

(Also I don’t have any other art on this account. I don’t usually post anything on Reddit for fear it might be stolen, but I am genuinely curious as to see how my characters do when presented to human beings.)

Some concept of Rhodaz, a princess of Phyton, an alien planet inhabited by fantasy plant people. She's a main character and isn't very fond of advanced technology

For background the second image is her old design and the photos after vague ideas that seemed to match her. She’s based of the planet Venus for her story, her group is all based off of planets and are kinda the anti foil hero’s to the main cast who eventually becomes main protagonists. Venus is a very down to earth woman who loves her group dearly and one of her main plot points is she steps in to help the hero’s without permission in order to give them information about the other plants because she knows her group needs this in order to move forward as better people. She’s sea themed and I got some inspiration personality wise from

I was thinking her room had a seashell shaped pool that she uses to see the outside world in (kinda like the goddess of discord from Sinbad) and uses them to keep information on artifacts, cities and people to her make informed decisions.

If not, what details should I remove?

Been working on this guy’s design so much. There are like severalllll different versions of him at this point. What are some assumptions yall would make about him?
