HELP! How do I gain confidence with my art? (How can I confidentially show it off to people???)

I have a pre-college course coming up in 6 days! and I am freaking out more than I should. I’m not good with showing off my art in real life, and I can only assume that you’re probably gonna have to show off your art in this course (critique + you have to hang up the work you created during the course in a gallery at the end of the course for ALL to see).

My nervousness made me panic and furiously try to get better during June. I spent the whole month trying to learn fundamentals and trying to reach a point where I’m okay with showing off my art. And I’m still not there yet, unfortunately.

I’ve always had this problem of showing off my art to people and I don’t know why. I can easily post it online but showing it to people irl freaks me out. The thought of it gives me major anxiety and makes my heart begin to race.

I believe this is an overall confidence problem? And I do compare myself to others when it comes to art which also might be a factor. I need to get out of these bad habits and would love advice from people who faced/are facing similar problems with showing off their work!

Advice needed: How do I find a good tattoo artist in my area?

I want to get my first tattoo over the summer but I don’t know where to start looking for tattoo artists. I don’t want to just walk into a random shop and ask for it. How do I find an artist that can specifically do the type of tattoo I want?

The tattoo I want is relatively simple and my uncles and step dad know good artists however I worry if the style is something that those specific artists can’t do or don’t necessarily specialize in.

I think I’m most likely getting stressed over nothing because of the simplicity but I’m very nervous because the tattoo will be on me forever, yknow? And laser removal is way more expensive than a tattoo.

My art style looks less cool now

This is an exact year difference and I lowk think my old style looks cooler. 😕

I like my current style but some people tell me they prefer the old one !! I’ve learned more fundamentals however people don’t really see that they just see the older one looks more interesting 💔

I lost followers on art fight when I started re uploading new character sheets so I’m nervous that my style downgraded
