What haircolor should I go for with him?

What haircolor should I go for with him?

I'm trying to slightly redesign the protagonist of a project of mine. He's had black hair since I made him back in 2013-ish, but I thought I might want to put in the red too, since most of the characters have hair colors that relate to their names. They're all named after flowers, and for the most part, they have haircolors that fit. Poppy here has a red cape and red boots, his outfit is mostly black aside from that. The issue is that the red kinda feels like a Shadow the Hedgehog or the one guy from Hazbin Hotel ripoff, haha.

Should I play around with the red bottom-part like in 1, keep his fully black hair like in 2, or make the main part of his hair red and only have it be black toward the tips at the bottom like in 3?

I'd love to get some help with him, I really wanna work on this project!

are their breeds (of dog) recognizable without color?

what I'm asking is- can you tell which breeds they are just from their shapes without being told what they are?

and if you can't tell, left is a bull terrier and right is a borzoi. should i add more defining features to make them look more like their breeds?

[OC] Frog knight by bouboulonlon (me)

Do not underestimate the frog knight 🐸

The markings on his skin are not merely for show.. perhaps you should look into what those patterns truly mean. Some say they are a sign of a dangerous touch.

Same-face syndrome

I did a little experiment to test my same-face syndrome. I used to struggle with it a lot and have gradually tried to add more distinct features for my characters over the past few years to better distinguish age, race, and personality just from the face. I decided to draw some of my characters without any of their other defining features (hair, makeup, jewlery, etc) to see how distinct their faces are. What do you guys think? Have I finally conquered the same-face syndrome thats plagued me since I was 12? Are the faces still too similar? Or have I gone full circle and made all my characters look TOO different? Please be as brutal or as kind as you'd like

Thoughts on my alien prince?

Alien prince with color changing jellyfish-like hair that is actually another alien symbiotically attached to him :D

I was wondering if this really reads “prince” and what I can do to make him look more regal? And also if this complex of a design is sustainable for a manga/webcomic

Fox Character Design 🦊

A fox character design I recently created. I focused on a clean, expressive look with detailed facial features while keeping the character cute and appealing.

Would love to hear your thoughts on the design!

is it morally wrong to make a chocolate themed character black / dark skinned

Ive been making characters based on ice cream flavors and ive had this dilemma since this character was conceived so i really need some answers, ideally from someone black themselves.

Note: There are other black characters in this set that aren't based on chocolate. I also have a drawing of the character if you wanna see them (im kind of a beginner though so please go easy on me if i do show it)

People who've never seen the show; do you think this character looks androgynous? Do you think it's a boy or a girl? (Answer in the comments)

To be honest I have no idea if this is the right place to ask because this is a random cartoon character that I did not draw, but this is the third place I'm checking and the other two didn't seem like I could post it there.

Anyways so, this is a character from a cartoon I watched as a kid and I've been rewatching it recently. Since I've already watched the show and have known the character since my childhood, I didn't notice it at first but I think they have a very androgynous design. (At least more androgynous than Kris Dreemurr lol.) On one hand, they have long hair and makeup, but on the other hand their attitude and facial expressions make them look boyish.

For more info: This character is 6-11 years old (not really specified) and they are made of negative emotions (hence why they are so edgy and fight-loving). They switch between being an antagonist and helping the heroes. I also think they look like a hedgehog lol.

If you know the character and want to comment, please mark it as spoiler and/or refer to the character with neutral pronouns so people's opinions don't get affected!

How do I add more muscle definition in the rendering

I was quite intentionally design this character to have very big naturals, but I don't want it to look disproportioned(big boobs but small noodle arms) and I want to learn more on the musculature, especially for the legs
