‘22 Limited: Suddenly drained battery, replaced drained the new one overnight
Have owned our 2022 Ascent Limited since new with very few problems, until yesterday. Drove fine the day before, but yesterday morning it was completely dead, battery was at 6 volts. Tried to charge it (still connected to car), but no good. Assumed it was a battery at the end of its life, so went to Advanced and got the best they had (Duralast AGM). Popped it in and no problems. Drove it around a bit too.
This morning and the new battery is dead, 6 volts. Disconnected it and have it on the charger now, but not sure what to do next. It’s Sunday so dealer is closed, but they show online as booked 2 weeks out. I’ll call them in the morning.
Anyone have a problem like this? I’ve read a lot about the parasitic drain issues, but don’t see how that could drain a healthy battery overnight. Maybe the litigate issue? But thought that was solved before 2022 MY.
