Training delay
I got my CJO from Frontier a few months ago. I was initially very excited because many people were implying that people from my base would start training soon. Turns out many people did, except me! Rumors are that my base won't get further training spots until the end of the summer.
Now I'm having serious second thoughts about sticking with this. I think this will be a wonderful career, but the reality is that the pay isn't great for the first few years, I would have to work irregular gigs to wait just for the chance to hear back in the fall, and people have said they've waited two years for their training!
Am I overreacting? Would you try to get another full-time job in this economy, only to drop it for this career? I'm feeling very anxious and stuck.
