Got my CJO for delta & united!

So excited I got my offer for both of my top choices but now I seriously have to consider my options.

Can anyone let me know the travel companion benefits for both airlines? I think delta allows two family members and two friends but not sure if it’s unlimited and if family members get the same privileges as the employee ? And United works on a limited number of buddy pass system?

I also heard United has a minimum monthly pay guarantee but delta does not. Is this true?

I realize United has union and better long term pay but wb other benefits?

As for training, United provides $140/week stipends + $1000 bonus upon graduation, uniforms & luggages, accommodation & 2 meals/day vs delta minimum wage of Atlanta (which is $7.25/hr?) for idk how many hours per day for 6 days/week, provides uniforms but that’s it. Is this correct?

And bases, I honestly would prefer JFK and Atlanta then eventually LAX so I do think delta is better for this.

I also heard United can move your schedule around with very short notice but I’m not sure if delta is the same.

For delta I got hired as LOD Korean and for United I’d prob take a test after I get hired.

I am also considering union, reserve scheduling, work life balance, and culture.

I’m new to the industry so I’m kind of lost and overwhelmed at all the new lingo & systems. Much help would be appreciated! Thank you.

🔺2026 Training Dates

It looks like training classes will be offered over the holidays. What do yall think? Will any of you with CJOs opt for the earlier session?

Personally I was looking forward to taking December off but now I don’t know. 😮‍💨

Pilot and FA have the highest risk of radiation related cancer?

I just read this article today from Harvard medical school that saying Pilot and FA have the highest risk of radiation related cancer than any other profession. Have anyone heard of this?

https://hms.harvard.edu/news/pilots-flight-attendants-have-greater-risk-radiation-related-cancer-death-other-professions

It is very interesting that flying high have this kind of risk vs land. Along with long hours and now this.

Anyone with a CJO from 🔺 waiting for next steps?

I received my CJO from 🔺 on 7/17 and my last correspondence was an email on August 1st ‘Get ready for runway to hire’. Has anyone who received a CJO been scheduled for a back ground check and drug screening at this point?

Delta F2F — I have a feeling I didn’t make it 😔

I just finished my Delta F2F today, and I’m trying not to overanalyze everything, but I have a feeling I didn’t make it.
After the group activity, they started calling people to leave, and I was the third person called. From everything I’ve read about the process, that doesn’t feel like a good sign.
I know we’re always told not to read too much into the order people are called, and obviously nothing is official until Delta sends the email, but right now I’m feeling pretty discouraged.
For those of you who have been through the Delta F2F recently: does being called out early after the group activity usually mean TBNT, or has anyone been called early and still received a CJO?
I’m still hoping I’m wrong. ❤️✈️

Tips for Pre Recorded Interview with UA

I just got the invite to do my Pre Recorded Interview with UA, I am so excited to be moving to the next step.

I would love some tips and recommendations to help me succeed.

For a timeline:
Applied the night of 7/29/26
Pre Recorded Interview email/text morning of 8/19/26

If my Pre Recorded Interview goes well, what’s next ?
Also will there be an option to opt in or out of AI for this ? If so what did you all choose ?

I have wanted to be an FA for a long time but timing never was right to even try and apply but now is the time and I am so excited that the nerves haven’t hit me yet. 😅

failed pre-employment drug screen :(

Question for folks who have gone through this process…….

Just got a call from the MRO where I took my drug test and unfortunately failed for marijuana, I stopped smoking a month before the test, but they asked if I smoked within the last 2 months.

I’ll probably get my offer rescinded for this airline but I am still in the running for 2 other airlines. Is it possible to retest for the other airlines and still get hired?

I’m kicking myself in the face right now because I thought I stopped well in advance. I’ve heard “absolutely no shot” for 10 years, and also about the SAP program…..

Thanks

How to deal with the sadness after your first serious medical

How does one deal with their first traumatic medical? It happened to me this week and I was position 1. I feel like I kind of blanked but my crew was so amazing and helpful.

I’m mostly hung up on my PA asking for medical personal, I literally just got on the PA and asked if there was a doctor on board who could assist. I felt helpless as I called the captain as I had no information to give him. Told him I would call him back. Ran to the back of the plane to get more information and kept sprinting back and forth while the medical happened.

They teach us so much in training and I feel like I just kept running around trying to find more information and relay it. We ended up calling the POC which halfway through, got disconnected. I ended up calling them back and finishing up on what to do so I felt better at that point.

I’m just sad for the passenger and upset at myself that I kind of froze. I know it was my first medical, I have gotten calls from all my managers asking me how I’m holding up and I just feel sad!!

Any advice please!!!

TBNT

It’s s official...after 5/6 hang tight emails... I finally received my official TBNT email this morning. Honestly, it is well with my soul. I am always proud of myself for stepping out and doing something bold. I made it this far and even with United in the spring I made it to the F2F. Did not leave with a CTO but I met some amazing people whom I still keep in touch with. This journey called life I have learned to celebrate the small wins along the way and thankful for the ways I push past comfort and step outside my comfort zone to be fearless. That is how you develop grit, boldness and confidence along the way. For all those who have received the same email or have left a F2F with no CJO....stop today and pat yourself on the back for choosing to be bold, fearless and actually taking a step to achieve your dreams. Something that many people in life are never confident enough to do ❤️😇🙏

Got a whole CJO before they responded to me😂🔺

Anybody else got a class filled email? At least it’s not a TBNT and I got the 6 months waived. But am I surprised? NO

Advice

Hi everyone, sorry for the long post!

I got my cto from united but the night before I was suppose to leave on the plane for training I got sick to the point I couldn’t leave the restroom. I did send a short email to one of their emails that’s in charge of flights just saying I had a circumstance come up and wouldn’t be on that flight. Later the next day when I finally was able to sit up on my computer I sent another email to one of the other emails that deals with classes the more in depth reason for not being able to join the class I was in. I figured regardless they would rescind my offer since it was so late, my flight left relatively early, and I didn’t go to urgent care bc costs.

I still haven’t received an email (assuming I won’t which is completely understandable) and I’m just worried I won’t be able to reapply next year when they open again. I am upset since it’s hard to even get to the training part but hopefully I’ll be able to get my chance again and just not leave the house for two weeks before training lol.

If anyone has been through something similar I would love to hear what you did/ if it mattered with later applications. I was thinking of applying to AA when they open but again I spent the first half of this yeardoing united interviews and did enjoy the company overall.

Delta bases 🔺

Hi! I was wondering if anybody has any insight on if austin will be one of the bases they offer in the upcoming 2027 round of hiring?

I know Delta just started offering international flight from Austin to Paris and now I’m wondering if they will need more FAs in that region?

I currently live in Texas and am concerned about moving out of state because I know prices and cost of living can get crazy, especially in some of the northern states.

Just wondering if it’s available and I bid for austin what the chances are of me getting it because I heard it’s a senior city ☺️

How long to get a live virtual interview for UA?

Just curious but how long do you think it would take to get a live virtual interview from UA after you submitted your ODVI? I submitted mine ODVI on the 7th so its be 11 days so far. I don't want to go insane by constantly thinking about it, especially since I got a TBNT from Delta due to capacity reasons, but it seems like I've been waiting forever in general.

Looking for Advice!

Hey everyone! I got my CJO with OO today! I am so excited and nervous and feeling everything. I have been researching like crazy as this will be my first FA job. I know AA apps are supposed to be opening soon if they decide on a date. My dream line is AA but at the time the only opening was UA and OO. Now that I’ve got my CJO with OO I am conflicted if I should wait on the possible outcome with AA or just take the leap with a regional in the mean time?

I am scared of making the wrong choice and it biting me in the butt. I have an opportunity to be a FA right in front of me and I don’t want to miss out but from my research it seems mainline is the best pay/benefits wise. I am just curious if anyone has been in this predicament and if you have any advice 💞 TIA!
