My cycle is usually 26 days long. My last period started on August 2nd. On August 10th, the condom slipped off during sex, and we only noticed after he had finished. There was also some fluid that leaked out of the condom.
It was already evening and the pharmacies were closed, so I took an ellaOne the next morning (August 11th), around 12 hours after sex.
According to my period tracking app, my estimated ovulation window is August 9–15. Obviously, apps aren’t 100% accurate, so I’m worried that I might have already ovulated when we had sex. Does anyone know how likely it is that I had already ovulated by August 10th? I know ellaOne mainly works by delaying ovulation, so I’m especially worried about having taken it too late.
I also haven’t noticed many changes since taking ellaOne. I felt a bit more emotional/melancholic and tired on the first day, and last night I had some very mild lower abdominal cramping, but that’s about it.
Is it normal that I haven’t had any bleeding/spotting? From what I’ve read on previous posts, bleeding seems to be one of the most common side effects, so I’m getting a little anxious that I haven’t had any.
I know everyone reacts differently, but I’d really appreciate hearing your experiences or opinions, especially if you’ve taken ellaOne around your estimated ovulation window.
