Plan b makes me want to stop existing. Is there a black box warning for this?

I’ve only felt this the last two times I took it. Both then and now there were very difficult/painful circumstances around it or happening during the time, and both times it feels like the response to them is dialed up to 100.

I feel normal but obviously something is very wrong with me.

Plan B/Pregnancy Anxiety

I (25F) have an extreme pregnancy phobia, to the point that I have been in therapy for this issue due to how severely it affects my life and mental health. I made the decision to come off of birth control last November for medical reasons, and at the time I was going through a severe medical crisis so I honestly did not even really think too far into how it would affect my life and relationship down the road once I healed. I have now recovered immensely, so my partner and I have been able to be intimate more frequently.

My periods have been irregular since coming off the pill (and due to my medical issue, I was also eating very little and lost a ton of weight, which I’m sure affected it as well). I had a 56 day cycle between January and March, followed by a 36 day cycle, followed by a 30 day cycle. So I think it is slowly regulating. My last period lasted from Sunday, 5/10/26 to Thursday, 5/14/26, and I think it was my first “true” period because it was heavier and came with more symptoms than the other periods. On Saturday, two days after it ended, we had sex without a condom and only withdrawal. Of course, I panicked, so I took a plan b the following morning and we made a firm decision to always use condoms moving forward for my anxiety’s sake. Then two days later, Monday, we used a condom, but it broke. At this point, I was 5 days away from expected ovulation per my period tracking app, but as I said before, my cycles have been somewhat irregular. I doordashed a plan b from Walgreens and took it about an hour afterwards.

I am absolutely terrified. This is the first time I think I have a real chance of pregnancy, and I am absolutely beside myself with anxiety. Can someone please tell me how bad my chances are looking/how likely it is that I will be fine? I apologize in advance if this is not as severe as I am making it out to be, this is just a really extreme source of anxiety for me and I am looking for reassurance and support. Thank you so much.

Plan B + UTI like symtpoms

hello!! I took plan b during my period for some peace of mind and suddenly (the morning after) I have started to feel UTI like symptoms where I have frequent peeing and a burning sensation. I read that this was NOT a common symptom of plan B so I am very worried!!

Super late period negative tests

Need some reassurance!

For context I had unprotected sex (ejaculation inside) on April 8th and took a plan b the hour after! A week after that I had super heavy bleeding with clots for 5 days

On April 19tj I had unprotected sex again (pull out) with no plan b

Since then I’ve had no period at all (it’s May 19th) I am extremely nervous I’ve taken three pregnancy tests and all were negative (one on May 9, 13 and 17) with morning urine. So I think it’s fair to say it’s highly unlikely I’m pregnant but why is my period not coming?? I also have no pregnancy or pms symptoms

Plan b

I’m a little nervous now cause I had sex a while ago and it was with a condom but I didn’t remember if he flipped it inside out halfway through because it almost slipped. I took a plan b a few hours after to be safe and 4 days later I started spotting. It was light pink and brown so I was scared it was implantation, but I had a light and medium flow for 6 days and some blood clots for 1-2 days.

My period usually begins the last week of the month but now I’m scared because I’m not spotting anymore and I’m bloated. My boobs are pretty tender and my anxiety has been through the roof. I will take a test once it reaches 21 days but it’s only been 13 days.

Do I take another dose

Hi I'm 14 and I had sex with my friend a few days ago and the condom broke inside me and he finished inside me before I knew it broke. I took plan b the next night but I threw it up in 1 hour. I tried to take it the next night and I threw up again in like an hour after taking it. I just can't keep it down and I tried so hard to. It's been almost 72 hours and I don't know if I should try to take it again or not. My breasts are really sore today so maybe I got enough of it in me?

withdrawal bleed or period?

i had unprotected sex with ejaculation may 8th, and took a plan b 3 hours later the same day. my app said i was predicted to ovulate may 9th, but i understand that doesnt mean i ovulated that day. my cycles are pretty regular, about 27 days. my period at most is a day early or a day late. may 16th i started spotting, pretty light but enough that i felt the need to wear a tampon. its been dark brown, maybe a little bit of red but it more so looked like old blood rather than fresh.

today, may 19th, i woke up with cramps that feel pretty spot on to when my period first starts, along with bleeding that looks how my period does on day 1. pretty heavy along with dark red blood. my period is expected on may 22nd. i understand that its possible for a withdrawal bleed to happen, but im not sure if the brown spotting was the withdrawal bleed and now this is my period or if its still a withdrawal bleed since my period is expected in 3 days. i know plan b can make it come early or late, so with the timing it doesnt seem far off for this to be my period a few days early. just wanted some insight on it we would think this is still the withdrawal bleed or my period. thank you in advance!

once i confirm my period i plan on getting back on the pill! :)

IUD removal plan b

Hello I’m (30) f I have two children age (4) and (1) I know I am two and done. I had an IUD the first time after my first pregnancy but expelled it so I used birth control pills for 3 years and got off the pills to try for baby #2. I had my period once and next cycle I got pregnant.

My Second pregnancy was rough I had a tonic clonic seizure at 28 weeks pregnant. Had my baby at 32 weeks.. just tough.. with my seizure meds birth control meds would not be effective. I decided to get an IUD but it was the worst. I constantly had BV the smell and sex was starting to get uncomfortable..

I got it removed 04/30 and had unprotected sex in the heat of the moment 05/17 literally 5 mins after I took the plan B…

I read that plan b might not be effective if you’re ovulating? But how would I know if I’m ovulating? Since I took out my IUD I didn’t get my period yet..my last period was 04/21

I just need maybe some peace of mind or if anyone has been in this situation?

Not wanting baby #3.. as my seizure meds cause complications and I’m extremely high risk .. I’m praying I don’t get pregnant!!!

Husband is scheduled for his vasectomy June 19th.. Will use condoms if we decided to have sex again

condom used but anxious asl

18m and 18f
First round:
condom + pull out
Second round:
condom stayed on the whole time
pulled out a little late, but I was still wearing the condom

I didn’t notice any break/slip/leak, but now I’m scared maybe there was a tiny tear I didn’t see

Later that night we woke up and there was hand stuff/fingering. She gave me a handjob and I ejaculated, but there was no direct genital contact after that and no ejaculation inside.

Her period was expected a couple of days ago and she says she has cramps. but she’s late.

Last time she took Plan B it delayed her period for ~50 days so we’re hesitant unless this actually sounds risky.

Does this sound like a real pregnancy risk or are we overthinking? cuz we’re approaching the end of that 72h window

Affected Cycle after Plan B

Can you please tell me how delayed your period were after Plan B? and how many cycles were affected?

I want to hear from your experiences to ease my mind 🥲

I am so stressed, I had always a regular cycle and after plan B my cycle is a mess and I have a feeling that I ruined my body system.

Did we need to use it at the time?

My girlfriend got her period on April 7th. After that date, we never had actual sexual intercourse; there was not even any direct naked contact between my penis and her vagina. The only thing that happened was rubbing through clothes, with about four layers of clothing between us. Other than that, I fingered her and inserted my fingers into her vagina several times. However, I never ejaculated on my hands in any way. My only fear is that maybe, without realizing it, there could have been a very tiny amount of pre-ejaculate fluid (pre-cum) on the tip of my finger.

About one to one and a half weeks ago, my girlfriend experienced some light brown spotting. However, her menstrual cycle is already irregular, and her doctor had said that she may have Polycystic Ovary Syndrome. Her periods are usually delayed by one to one and a half weeks anyway. Despite all of this, I am still worried about the possibility of pregnancy.

Sometimes i cried to fuck out because of anxiety and couldnt eat for a day...

help!!

Me and my boyfriend had sex 4 days after my period ended, (this was anal) and i’m unsure if any semen accidentally got into my vagina. i took a plan b maybe a little less than 48 hrs after sex. about 7 days or so after taking the pill i started having breast pain, extreme, and then maybe in the middle of these days my nipples started hurting extremely too i haven’t really had any other symptoms, maybe just tired but i have a bad sleep schedule so it’s hard to tell. are these pregnancy symptoms? or more so the plan b? i’ve had this breast pain happen due to a plan b before but maybe not as much the nipple pain, it’s freaking me out lol. edit: i’m also currently having some cramping and it’s kinda freaking me out lol, once again it’s been 10-11 days since i had sex and about 9 days since i took the pill

Worried and scared I may get pregnant

Hello guys, I need answers. I'm scared, but I had sex yesterday and I used protection, but when he was done, I went to the bathroom and was leaking a lot. I smelt it, and it smelt like semen, so I got extremely worried and kept asking him if it popped. He said no, but it smelt exactly like semen and usually that never happens with the leakage. Also, an hour later, I started having heavy abdominal cramps with bad leg weakness in both legs that went all the way down to my feet for like an hour straight. I'm considering taking plan b, but the thing is I took plan b 3 weeks ago and haven’t had my period since and I took a pregnancy test which came back negative. I'm scared if I take a plan b it won’t work since I may have ovulated within those 3 weeks.

Plan b vs implantation bleeding

So I’m kind of freaking out. I woke up today with slight pink bleeding nothing heavy but still there. I took a plan b last week on monday and another one on friday but according to my period tracker my ovulation date was supposed to be on friday. I know these trackers are not 100% accurate but I’m wondering if I took my second plan b too late and now am experiencing implantation bleeding. OR the bleeding could just be from taking 2 plan bs in one week and it’s messing with my hormones. Also experiencing slight cramps and headaches

Advice/ Help

Ok I might sound crazy but I am freaking out. I have HA so have not gotten my period for almost a year because I have trouble gaining weight/ keeping weight on. Because of this I was thinking I can’t be ovulating. I had sex with my boyfriend on Saturday and then again on Wednesday we used a condom as our form of birth control both times and he pulled out before finishing just to be safe. The condom was full both times so I am assuming it did not break. I took an ovulation test yesterday on Thursday because I got random spotting and the ovulation test was positive. I obviously freaked out because you are most fertile the days before ovulation. I immediately took a plan b but it had been about 25 hrs after having sex on Wednesday that I took the plan b. I know plan b delays ovulation is if I already am ovulating it won’t work. I feel like the chances are low but I really am freaking out because I can not have a baby and would have to get an abortion which is a choice I do not want to deal with. Yall help.

I took a plan b on April 30 had withdrawal bleeding for 5 days a few days after. I still have not ovulated over two weeks later… is this normal? I thought I would have ovulated by now? No other symptoms at all… just the withdrawal bleeding and my temps below my baseline
