Current Job market has made me a Doomer.

I completed my B.Sc. in Computer Science in 2024 from a Tier-3 college with literally zero campus placements for CS students. Only 5 placements were available, and to my horror, 3 out of those 5 were for BPO roles. Since I was broke and had to make money to pay rent and support my mom, I applied anyway and got selected for a BPO job with a salary of ₹20k.

After graduation, I spent 3-4 months upskilling myself and applied wherever I could but I was unable to land even an internship, let alone a job. Since my second year of college I already knew front-end development and JavaScript because it was the trend at the time. I learned React and made some simple projects with it but I guess I was not “industry-ready.” After losing hope, I took the BPO job

My financial condition was something like this:
I live with my single mother, and the only source of income in our family was from my sister. My father passed away early, and now that my sister is married, I am the sole breadwinner.

While graduating, to pay rent and basically survive, I did odd jobs like teaching PCM at a local tuition center and helping SSC students prepare for their board exams.

Now, in 2026, I have left that soul crushing and borderline slavery like BPO job. I have saved enough money for the next 6 months, and honestly, with the current war situation, inflation, and AI, I don’t have much hope left for the future.

Most front-end jobs seem completely gone. Companies are not even asking for fullstack developers anymore. I honestly don’t know what I should learn to secure any job in this field. AI has scared every investor, and big tech companies are laying off 10,000 workers every other week.

Does India have any future left for CS graduates? If yes, then someone please guide me on what I should learn or master in the next 6–12 months to at least get an entry-level job.

Or should I use my savings to start something small kele ki reddy No, I’m seriously considering it. fruit ka reddy laga deta hun
