24 years later, I finally got through Jupiter Lighthouse

I played TLA in 2003 and could never get pass this section and just gave up. I finally made it (after multiple attempts, of course) and this felt like redemption for my 10 year old self 🤣 I honestly have no idea how I made it this far when I was a kid, this lighthouse was a doozy!!

Wife looking for a birthday gift; ROG Ally X owners with PC: How often do you use your Ally?

Hi everyone! I’m hoping to get some advice and hopefully I’m in the right sub.

I’m looking for a birthday gift for my husband and have been considering the ROG Ally X. I’m not a gamer at all, so I honestly don’t know much about gaming devices or what makes something worth the money. I literally typed on google, “gifts for gamers” and Ally X popped up 😭

My husband primarily games on a gaming PC and also has an Xbox. From what I see, he mostly plays Call of Duty, Crimson Desert. He talks about wishing to play Ghost of Yotei but seems like he has not or can’t? Is it expensive? I was debating to buy him this.

I’ve been doing some research and reading reviews as well; some mentioning frequent game updates, which made me wonder if it ends up collecting dust for people with PCs. And also, the cost. My hesitation is the price. I don’t mind dropping that amount of money for him, I just wonder if he can use that money to upgrade or buy stuff for his PC (I wish I knew the devices for his set up….)

For those of you who own an Ally X and also have a gaming PC, I’d really appreciate hearing about your experience:
How often do you actually use it?
Do you use it mostly for travel, or do you find yourself using it around the house too?
If you could go back, would you still buy it?
If you were in my shoes, would you buy the Ally X, or would you recommend something else in a similar price range?

Thank you so much for any advice!
