35 and DOR with AMH 0.29-am I crazy to have IVF hope?
My husband and I have both had difficult lives. We've both been homeless when we were young and have had to fight for the good things in our lives. Thankfully we've both come out of the other side stronger and we are happy! So we are older when we start trying- We find out that we both have fertility issues. He had two varicoceles and I have AMH 0.29. My husband had his surgery to fix the varicoceles last month but we couldn't find a reason for my DOR. When we found out we both laughed because of course nothings been easy for us ever and makes sense getting pregnant wouldn't be either. My doctor seems like there is a good chance that we could still conceive with IVF ICSI but warned me that each retrival might only yield 1-2 follicles with a chance of zero eggs. So doing the math wth IVF funnels it could take a year of stims to get enough euploid embryos for one baby. Started my first egg retrieval last week and have been on Menopur 150 and Follstim 300 daily. Only one follicle size 8mm but I'm staying positive. I figure one is better than zero and it is my first time. Anyone else have DOR but have success? What helped your success? What regimens and supplements were you on?
