I got my forks off and changed out the seals but when I filled to the recommended volume (565ml) the oil level was about ~7" to the top of the tube fully compressed W/O the spring. I saw somewhere someone said they measure it with springs in so I did that and it put the level roughly around the 5.6 it should've been. I was eager to finish up so I didn't question and just put it all back together. Now I'm thinking I gotta take em back off and double check, does anyone just go purely by volume? Or should I just avoid a flight over the handlebars and do my due diligence?
