(no. 2 pencil on printer paper)

A few general questions:

- how do eyes work? I'm not sure if it's just the nature of "narrow head" but the eyes feel squished.

- did I do "subsurface scattering" correctly?

- how do you shade darker? im not sure if my pencils need to be sharpened, or if there's a certain technique to smudging it, but it feels like no matter how dark I tried to shade, it ended up too light.

- lips? :(

- any other glaring issues?

I tried to focus on shape and form as much as possible for this drawing so I'd like any tips on that.

I got back into pencil sketching, but I'm not exactly sure how to improve my anatomy and shading.

Here's some things I think I'd need to change, but I'd like confirmation on:

- lowering the ear

- hair physics? how do bangs work ;-;

- less forehead? Could be stylistic but idk

- more contrast

- more highlights (but idrk how since I'm just using No. 2 pencil)

- shading help? what would I need to emphasize?

- how do lips ;-;
