Hi everyone, complete sim racing noob here. I’m looking to buy my first setup for PC, specifically to play Assetto Corsa and Forza Horizon 6 when it comes out. I’m not sure yet if I’ll stick with the hobby long-term, so I’m looking at the used market.
I found two local deals for used gear in 'like new' condition:
- Logitech G29: €100
- Moza R3 Bundle: €240
The G29 is obviously the budget choice, but I've heard the Moza R3 (Direct Drive) is much better. Since both are second-hand, the resale value is also a factor.
If I spend the extra €140 on the Moza, is the 'fun factor' high enough that I'm more likely to stick with the hobby? Or is a €100 G29 such a steal that I should just start there?
