pxn vd4 or moza r3/r5 for beginners

I've made multiple posts asking about good entry wheels for beginners

i tried the g29 from my neighbor and i gotta say im so not comfortable with it, cant wait to get a dd wheel

i was gonna buy a cheap belt/gear driven wheel bundle that comes with a clutch pedal and a shifter (pxn v99 bundle) but turns out direct drive is much much much better and its a day and night difference

Then i came across the pxn v10 ultra but its base is just too big and not worth imo (ill be playing on my desk) and the button design is so weird

so my final decision was either the pxn vd4 or the moza r3/r5

I heard the pxn vd4 peaks up to 5Nm torque while the moza r3 peaks at 3.9Nm

the r5 will be a hassle to get cause its more expensive obviously but i can try to save up for it

im not experienced into simracing but i will be playing these games:
- Dirt Rally 2.0
- WRC
- Forza Horizon 6
- F1 25 or 24
- Assetto Corsa
- NFS Heat or UNBOUND
-BeamNG Drive
and will be willing to try new games

im a pc player and ill mount it on my desk
the pxn vd4 doesnt come with a desk clamp but i can buy one myself i guess

sorry if im bad at asking 😅
i live in saudi arabia and my currency is in SAR (1$ = 3.75 SAR)

EDIT: i wanna buy a clutch pedal and shifter and possibly a handbrake LATER.

R5 Pro to R9 Upgrade

My first time ordering from Moza. Had the R5 Pro bundle and the performance upgrades for each pedal in my cart for a few weeks and ended up ordering. Saw the R9 bundle was on sale and tried to contact Moza to order that bundle instead. Ordered Sunday night and emailed Monday morning. Zero response and the R5 Pro bundle already shipped out. How cooked am I? I want to return to get the R9 with the SRP2 pedals instead of the SRP Lite 2’s with the R5 bundle. It says the customer is responsible for return shipping costs but I tried to change the order before the item was shipped. Still haven’t heard back from customer service.

For reference I am in the US and this is my first sim setup. I’m disappointed but that’s on me.

*edit

Should I just be happy with what I ordered? It’s going to be a desk setup for now but plans to upgrade in the future.

I ordered:
R5 Pro
12” Wheel mod
Formula Wheel mod
Brake performance kit
Throttle performance kit

580 shipped

I want:
R9 V3 and CS V2P with SRP2 Bundle
Table Clamp

620 shipped

WHYYYYY

This has been happening for past year and I'm SICK OF IT. I'm not sure if it's basic feedback but I highly doubt it since it does it on place. Game is LMU if anyone is wondering. I'll gladly say my pc specs if you need so. 🙏🙏

Second thoughts about buying a wheel. Should I go cheaper?

Hello I am having a bit of a problem. I'm trying to get into simracing, but the only wheel I currently have is some cheap hori thing which is crap (broke after 2 weekends of use) and so i thought about buying myself a moza r5 so that i get a bundle for long time. However I am starting to feel that maybe I should go with the r3 but then i would have to upgrade faster. What do you think about it? My only real expierience with sim racing is some beamng on the hori amd dirt rally2 but i mostly play on controller

MOZA KS pro button mapping

Hey everyone,

I recently picked up a MOZA KS Pro and noticed it came with a pretty big sheet of button stickers. I was wondering if anyone has recommendations for the best button mapping/layout.

I’ll mainly be playing Le Mans Ultimate, with some iRacing here and there, so I’d like to set it up primarily for LMU. I’m curious what you guys have mapped to each button and which controls you think are the most important to have easily accessible.

Any recommendations or pictures of your setups would be appreciated!

Upgrade KS to KS Pro or add CM2 Dash.

As title really always said the KS was fine but just upgraded to an R16 from a R5 and can't help but feel the KS pro might be worth the upgrade for a bit more immersion with the screen.

I've never been a huge fan of the KS grips find them hard, do the Pro have a but more cushion to them??

Also the KS pro has lights round the rotary switches which is a bug bear of the KS.

Would the dash offer better immersion??

Thanks

Thinking of buying the ks pro

wondering measurements for the ks pro paddles, i currently use the es wheel and have just enough room between the shifters and my screen, wondering if the shifters stick out the same amount or if its different.

Is this a good deal for $1000

Guy is selling a moza r12 system, loaded cell pedals, h shifter, handbrake, sequential shifter, aluminum rig. All moza products other than the aluminum frame. He has it originally listed for $1600, he said it has around maybe 40 hours used and has had it for 6 months.

Is $1000 a good deal on this?

Quick Release Adapter

Recently picked this up and the bearings are scratched up. Is this fine to use or should I get another one?

Moza customer service is terrible

My R9 stopped working correctly a month ago now, contacted customer support and it’s been back and forth for a month now, even though I’ve sent the video and photo proof of the base not functioning correctly, and evidence that pithouse is not detecting the base. But they keep asking for more and more videos of the issues even though it’s not really something that shows up well on a cell phone video, plus they know their own software is not detecting the base so that alone would make it unusable. Are they just going to keep demanding extra bits of evidence until I get fed up and buy a new base? Because I’ll sell all my Moza stuff before I do that.

Moza R5 and NLR 2.0 Creak

Hi everyone,

Looking for some advice on this creaking/popping noise. I picked up the Moza R5 and NLR 2.0 wheelstand last week. Everything works and feels great, except I can hear this creaking/popping noise and I’m not sure if it’s coming from the wheel base, wheel, or wheel stand. It happens only during FFB, specifically in corners when the wheel is turned. This specific clip is leaving the pits at Spa on LMU. I also hear it playing F125. If the wheelbase is turned off and I turn the wheel, there’s no noise at all.

The wheelstand is on carpet, so I’m not sure if due to the torque from the FBB, it’s just the metal flexing, or if either the Moza R5 or NLR 2.0 is defective. I’d appreciate any input that anyone can provide.

Where to buy?

Been having troubles with my G29 so I’m considering upgrading my setup to an R5 Pro bundle or some type of R9 bundle. Anyway I see a lot of negative comments of people buying from MOZA directly, so where should I buy from?

TLDR: If I don’t buy from MOZA then where buy from? US based.

R5 Pro vs. R9 and waiting for PlayStation Support?

Hey everyone,

I have been thinking about upgrading from a G29 to an R5 Pro. The R5 Pro is only $20 CAD/$14 USD more than the R5 at the moment so currently comparing that to an R9.

I am having a hard time deciding what route to go. Now, with PlayStation support coming, I am wondering if it is better to wait for that as well. I have heard that only new versions would be compatible with PlayStation but I imagine this is all conjecture at this point. It would be nice to have something with PS support but I also don't want to wait another year for something like that.

Wondering what your thoughts are on R5 vs. R9 (especially for those who have tried both) and also wondering if anyone knows any more news about when/what could be released with PlayStation support?

Thanks!

Moza R5 Review coming from a beginner sim racer

before reading this,I am also a flight simmer and ever since i got the R5, I have no hesitation in buying their new airbus style panels (FCU and MCDU) due to their outstanding quality and realism in their products.

I am currently using the MOZA R5 and honestly, it’s a really good wheel for anyone getting into sim racing, coming from someone who had a superdrive wheel running on life support. The biggest thing you notice is the direct drive. Compared with a normal Logitech style wheel, the R5 feels much smoother and gives you a lot more feedback from the car ; for example assetto corsa makes the actual track feel real and responsive to both the car and the wheel which makes driving a lot more enjoyable.

The build quality is also extremely good. The wheel feels solid and doesn’t feel like a cheap gaming accessory. The buttons are easy to reach and everything feels nicely put together.

The main downside for me is the pedals. They’re fine for getting started, but if you get more serious about sim racing, you’ll probably want to upgrade them, especially the brake pedal. The 5.5 Nm force feedback is also good for an entry-level direct-drive wheel, but you can definitely get stronger wheelbases if you’re willing to spend more. But it’s not a major problem for me as i usually use the wheel for casual racing .

I also like that you can upgrade the R5 over time. You don’t have to buy an expensive setup straight away, and you can add better pedals, a different wheel and other MOZA equipment later.

Overall, I think the MOZA R5 is one of the better options for someone who wants to get serious about sim racing without spending a ridiculous amount of money. It’s not the most powerful or advanced wheel out there, but for a first direct-drive setup, it’s hard to go wrong.

SRP Lite Brake Performance Kit Creaking Noise?

I just installed this brand new onto my brake pedal and each time I press on the pedal it makes a creaking sound.

Anyone know how I can get rid of it?

Thoughts on the r5 pro bundle?

So I've been wanting to buy a sim wheel for a long time now and I've just seen the R5 pro bundle and I'm wondering if that would be good for my first wheel setup cause I know the standard R5 bundle has bad pedals and the R5 pro has different ones so do y'all think it would be good?

Moza SRP Upgrade

Hi, I have some Moza SRP pedals, I've always read positive reviews about mounting the pedals in reverse and I think I would be more comfortable too.Since I don't have the option to reverse the pedals right now, I thought about one of these kits that help adjust the angle.Has anyone tried them?
