Real or Scam - Telus Winback Phone number

So, I had Telus internet for just under 2 years, had to cancel my home internet at the end of March 2026, as I was going from living in my own rental place, to moving in with my partner and his family.

It's not permanent, but rather a temporary solution while I go on Maternity leave in July and won't be working with a full salary until 2027 again.

I had explained this to Telus when I was canceling my line, that it wasn't due to the service, but just that the home I moved into, already has an internet and TV provider, so I wouldn't be responsible for it, and that in the future, I would 100% be willing to sign on with Telus again, when we are out on our own in a new home.

Since my final bill came through, at the end of April, I have been receiving phone calls from what appears to be another 3rd party telus line.

+1 833-896-0455

The first call was May 8th at 3:02pm, I let any unknown callers go straight to voicemail; I don't have my name recorded or anything in my voicemail for reasons with past collectors for family members, calling me to the point it was beyond harassment.

They left me a voice mail assuming I had answered the call, "Hello....hello...******, ****** *****?" After saying hello and my name (which as stated above, they wouldn't have gotten from my voice mail) in the voice mail, they sat there in silence for over 2 minutes.

Since that call, they have since proceeded to call every day now. Twice on May 12th at 5:58pm, and 8:30pm. Yesterday at 7:09pm and 8:28pm, and today at 12:50pm so far.

These voicemails have since been completely silent, and my smart watch shows the call date for the voicemail, as a date that it couldn't be.

The one from 12:50pm, was dated for 1991 March 6th.

How do I get this scammy telus 3rd party to stop calling me?

This isn't the only one I have been called by before, and the telus rep that I spoke with over facebook messenger live chat back in March, didn't know all their legitimate 3rd party numbers, but were able to tell me they could see when I was reached out to, and the time stamps were a minute difference at most, so they assumed they were legit.

Please help.
