Theory(s)on the future of the testaments(show)

I’ll break this down into two separate theory’s, since they pertain to different subjects.

What if Canada is already infiltrated(government and military wise)?

Margaret Atwood’s entire philosophy is that no democracy is truly safe from authoritarianism, Having Canada remain a “perfect”(relatively speaking) safe haven, completely ruins the political commentary. Forcing Canada to succumb to its own homegrown fundamentalist movement—or a puppet regime controlled by Gilead—proves the ultimate thematic point, fascism can happen anywhere if a population grows desperate enough. The fact that Gilead can operate an illegal network of fake social workers(and pearl girls) on Canadian soil proves they have a highly sophisticated, high-level mechanism protecting them. We’ve already heard and seen Daisy speak about this "There were signs of what was coming, candidates running for office had said things openly, about women, about gays, but they still were elected. People thought they were speaking in hyperbole. Now women can't have jobs, or phones, or read books...".

Current state of the continental US

I do want to hear y’all’s opinions on what the map of the US currently looks like, even if we’re likely to get a map by the end of the first season. I personally think that the USGiE will have a small enclave or perhaps even control over Seattle or some of Washington state, Given its location(easy supply line from B.C into the west coast), and its state at the end of the handmaids tale, or One in Oregon. My only real other theory is that the USGiE holds a volatile reclamation of New England that makes it difficult to make them official states. With the next target for reclamation being one of the virginias or Maryland.
