Hi what’s the general consensus for resolving wet floors (driver side, clogged sunroof drains) after the fix?

I’ve tried using OdorBan but it still smells stale and I’m told the cutting away the carpet to remove the under-foam is the way to go but I’d rather not damage anything permanently in the cleanup process if I can help it.
