Rewatching Kamen Rider Kabuto, it really strikes me how if you just read the sypnosis, see the opening, henshin sequences and fight scenes, you might think that this was some of kind super cool and serious story about superspeed changelings infiltrating society or something, but then you watch it and you realise that while that's true, almost every single Rider is also a weirdo caught up in a bizarre aura farming competition, only to pale in comparison to the ultimate aura farmer that is Tendou Souji who proceeds to make them look like loser chumps instead. Then in response they become even bigger loser chumps (affectionate).
Tendou himself is the most exaggerated and ludicrous take on the Ace archetype that some later Riders like Sento (Come to think of it, Build also counts with the whole Japan split in three turned civil war contrasted with Team Build being the biggest weirdo goofballs) and uh well... Ace also embody. Man gets beat up because he was busy saving Kagami, faints, then gets up to aura farm about faking his death, faints again, then when we see him at the hospital, he's diagnosing and rizzing up the doctor that's supposed to be giving him a checkup! Like what's with this guy?!
