Please help me confirm/change my thoughts:

  1. There are reports that the Denali wheel/tyre combo makes for an uncomfortable ride. Is the Elevation, with base wheel/tyre package, better? Is the Elevation much different than the AT4?

  2. I would like to avoid the air suspension of the Denali. What is the suspension of the Elevation like? Is the AT4 suspension far superior to the Elevation (assuming city/freeway driving and also short distance boat towing (10 miles per trip, 7K lb. boat+trailer))?

  3. Are there other significant differences between an AT4 (ER) and an Elevation (ER) that has Premium, Tech, and Super Cruise packages? Like are the AT4 seats more comfortable than Elevation?

My overall thinking so far:

A) I don't even know that the "Denali" name means anymore since a "base Denali" can be so un-luxurious.

B) I've had air-ride suspensions in other vehicles that don't last long enough (I keep vehicles for 10+ years) and are really expensive to service/replace - so I want to avoid that completely.

C) It seems like I can get my major requirements met in the correctly outfitted Elevation: Extended or Max range, mid gate, cooled seats, Super Cruise. Price seems almost identical between similarly spec'd Elevation and AT4 - but I could be missing something.

Please weigh in with your thoughts that can help me target the right trim.
