G915X Issue
I’ve been using my Logitech G915 X LIGHTSPEED for only about six months, and now it’s already starting to fail. Several keys are randomly double-typing or even triple-triggering. For example, I press “a” once and suddenly get “aa” while typing. It happens across multiple keys and makes the keyboard extremely frustrating to use for both work and gaming.
I contacted Logitech support expecting a straightforward warranty process. At first, the support agent was friendly, but then I received what honestly feels like one of the most absurd RMA instructions I’ve ever seen from a major company.
They want me to record a full video showing:
the keyboard in use,
the screen,
my hands and keyboard while typing,
the affected keys,
and even the serial number at the end.
Then I’m supposed to manually upload the whole thing to Google Drive, configure sharing permissions, create a public link, and send it back to them.
Sorry, but this feels completely excessive for a keyboard that is barely half a year old and clearly suffering from a known double-input issue. On top of that, I honestly consider it an unnecessary invasion of privacy to expect customers to film parts of their private workspace and typing behavior just to get warranty support.
It’s 2026. There has to be a more customer-friendly and modern way to handle defective hardware claims than asking users to produce and host forensic-style evidence videos themselves.
Has anyone else here experienced this with Logitech support recently? And has anyone found a simpler way to get a replacement approved?
