I’m a PvE enjoyer who occasionally dips into PvP. I have 500 hours topside and at least 1,000 hours spent complaining in Speranza, which officially makes me a professional complainer. I’m also a dad and this is important!
What is EMBARK thinking??? What is this nonsense? Why are the devs making the game harder? Do they even play their own game? Do they even know what a video game is? Games are supposed to help me relax, and now this one is literally unplayable.
Let’s start with the durability “buff”. Before this change, I ended every expedition with 50+ fully kitted weapons in my stash. I had so many weapons I basically donated them to Speranza because I departed before I could even use them all. I was too scared to use Epic and Legendary weapons anyway, because Common and Rare weapons were already good enough.
But now? Now my Renegade breaks after killing only 400 ARCs instead of 800. I guess I’ll have to maintain just 25 weapons instead of 50. Totally unplayable.
And how are the devs even making these changes? Sure, they probably have thousands of hours of data from the entire player base, but did they ask for my opinion? No. And it is obvious I know better than them, as I said I have 500 hours topside and they don't play their game.
They must be using AI to analyze what is overpowered and what is not. But everyone also knows humans are better than AI, so please, EMBARK, ask me directly before the next balance patch.
Now, the new map. Disaster. It’s not even the size of the GTA 7 map, so why should I play it? It looks like Spaceport, Buried City, and Dam all combined. I mention Spaceport because the new map has open spaces, so it is basically a Spaceport copy. I mention Buried City and Dam because… honestly, I don’t know. It just gives me those vibes. The devs were clearly too lazy so they reused existing props instead of creating completely brand-new assets for every single map. Unacceptable.
And the new ARC? What is this flying Shredder nonsense? It has absolutely nothing in common with the Shredder, except that in my expert opinion it is clearly a combination of a Wasp and a Shredder. A Wasp because it flies, and a Shredder because it looks like a Shredder. Well, not exactly like a Shredder. But almost. Kind of. You get it. Zero creatrivity.
I am very disappointed in this new majorupdate. Feels like minor update.
