Does someone want to compare stats from Ao3?

I probably sound super shallow and super competitive, but I swear I'm not xD.

The main reason is because I want to get a feeling for this specific fandom on AO3, because the fandom is old, but also very active, especially on reddit and Tumblr. I guess I want to develop a gut feeling, if that makes sense?

These are mine:

I wrote/started 8 Hannigram fanfiction, including 3 crossovers.

My most popular fic:

Rating: Explicit Hannigram (7,097 words)  3/? Chapters Subscriptions:        76    Hits:        1,351    Kudos:        138    Comment Threads:        15    Bookmarks:        59

The least popular I'm still invested in:

Rating: Mature Hannibal & OC/Mischa (1,324 words)  1/5 Chapters  Subscriptions:        3    Hits:        53    Kudos:        6    Comment Threads:        1    Bookmarks:        3

The rare pair no one cares about:

Rating: Mature Brian/Will (1,847 words)  1/? Chapters  Subscriptions:        2    Hits:        34    Kudos:        2    Comment Threads:        0    Bookmarks:        2

Does anger towards Hannibal sometimes overcome you?

I had when I first watched the show, problems to see Will's agency and really just saw that troubled flawed man being pushed around by the cannibal, his boss and his empathy aka being a victim of these three (and sometimes he was, but sometimes he also made his own choices)

Then there are the Boyle siblings. They never got justice everyone was just hurting them. (It's debatable if Abigail defended herself or if Boyle really tried to hurt her, I'm not sure).

Beverly never got justice.

Sometimes I get overwhelmed with anger and think Will should have pushed Hannibal over the cliff like Scar did with Mufasa and go back to his wife, stepson and trillion thousand dogs and be done with it all. XD

Technically no one got justice, only Margot.

Edit: I totally forgot the gaslighting, especially in season 2. Will already knows what Hannibal is and the encephalitis is gone and he still plays dumb, until Will tells him to at least use omissions of truth.

Which Route to take? (Brian Zeller as Mischa)

I'm thinking for a few days straight now.

The idea: Brian Zeller starts having nightmares aka the memories of Mischa resurface. After a few weeks he remembers his former life completely, including his older brother.

The routes I can't decide to take are:

Gothic drama route:

2 years after the cliff fall.

The nightmares turn into some sort of curse or psychological issue because he starts choking himself in his sleep. He has to confront the past and travels to Lithuania. Chiyoh tells Hannibal about the stranger who was trespassing and wept on his family's graves and the bruises on his throat. Will and Hannibal get curious...

+++

Season 2 canon divergence:

Brian's perception and awareness changes through the memories and he starts seeing the contradictions in the evidence that show Will as the Copycat killer. He takes Beverly's place and asks for help and works with Will and Will's lawyer on a ruthless strategy to dismantle the FBI and get Will out.

The fun part: Brian (or Mischa) only remembers the big brother who hid his true nature and is even more blind then Alana towards Hannibal.

It's peak comedy when Brian is soooo proud of the protective, older brother who became a kind and respectable and caring psychiatrist who is so incredibly forgiving, he even forgave his friend (Will) who sent a murderer (Matthew Brown) after him during a neurological health crisis (encephalitis)...🙏🥺😂

+++

Season 2 canon divergence version 2

It starts like the above with the resurfacing of the memories and Brian asking Will for help instead of Bev. So he investigates Hannibal's home like Bev did and...kills Abigail when she tries to attack him.

From then on it's a downward spiral of broken dreams for Hannibal, who tries to find Abigail's murder, guilt and self destruction for Brian and Will who plays a cat and mouse game with Hannibal and is deeply unsettled by Brian's devotion to prove his innocence.

+++

All of these stories also contain a lot of Hannigram, but I tried to keep it a bit short aka actually readable.

I would like to hear what sounds promising and which route you would prefer or if you would read it at all etc. I only have the time and motivation for one of the stories. Thank you.🩷

If Will would have kissed Hannibal instead of Alana, would have changed that anything?

If Will would have called Hannibal about the squirrel in the wall and he would have sought Hannibal as that stabilizing anchor and tried to distract Hannibal like he tried with Alana...would have changed that anything?

Hannibal would have probably really enjoyed the physical intimacy, but I can't imagine he would have changed his ways. He weaponizes Intimacy, physical touch and sex like anything else and he still would have fucked with him (the encephalitis and the framing, not fucking fucking)

I talked to someone who thinks Hannibal would have probably gotten him treatment and never put him in prison because the intimacy would have been there and Hannibal was the anchor in that scenario, but on the other hand, what he really wanted was to fuck with Will (like mess with him, not fucking fucking, even when I'm sure he would absolutely enjoy it) out of curiosity, amusement, curate his becoming and curate a "dark" peer for himself. In a way Will was seeking him out as an anchor and trusting him already in season one, even if it was more friendship then fucking fucking.

I can't imagine a kiss (or even fucking fucking) would have changed Hannibals actions in any way.
