Here's the breakdown on what has happened, which is an absolute shitshow and I compiled some videos to show it.
1st clip: An electric taxi broke down in the middle of a crossing which causes it to get hit by a Commuter Train, lets call this CT 1.
2nd clip: Because CT 1 just had an accident, the opposite train, Commuter Train 2, got delayed and is stopped at the station (Bekasi Timur, 2 tracks), CT 2 got delayed for atleast 5 minutes and that 5 minutes was crucial because an Intercity Train is supposed to overtake them in the next station (Tambun, 4 tracks). This delay caused the catastrophic accident that would happen.
3rd clip: A trainspotter records the Intercity Train after departing from Bekasi Station just before the crash, the distance from Bekasi to Bekasi Timur was only 3km and the Intercity Train doesn't stop there which means it was at full speed.
4th clip: Video taken a second after the crash by CT 2 passenger, Intercity Train rear ended CT 2 and went inside the last car, absolutely demolishing it and this was during rush hour where people are going home from work (Around 9pm). There was most likely a signal failure somewhere and miscommunication with the Intercity Train but even then, 3km is too short for a 120km/h train to brake (most likely less than 3km considering that it was already on the way). But still this raises some eyebrow on why the signal was not red.
5th and 6th clip: Rescue attempts by fellow passengers and the aftermath.

Edit 2: CT 2 is a Tokyo Metro 6000 series which is made out of aluminum alloy and of course it was packed during rush hour, the last 30 seconds like the other commenters have stated is NSFL because the Intercity Train Locomotive basically telescoped inside CT 2.
Edit 3: As of 12pm, 28th of April 2026 Indonesia time, the casualties are 14 dead and 84 injured from the official statement by the Indonesian State Railway.
Edit 4: Another footage recorded during the impact showing CT 2 getting pushed up by a lot from the perspective of one of the passengers that were outside, curiously looking at CT 1 that just hit the taxi. Edit 5: As of 9am, 29th of April 2026 Indonesia time, the total casualties is 15 dead and 88 injured, will post a comment/make another edit once the official investigation ends.
